HOBB on your phone

SafetyBuddy offers HOBB mobile in two flavors. Email is not a remote terminal into your files - and neither is exposing your filesystem to a thief. Login is required for both.

1 - Mobile HOBB (on-device)

  1. Open HOBB on your phone and sign in.
  2. Use the full HOBB chat experience with on-device storage.
  3. Everything works except Duty-PC filesystem (FS) access.
Open mobile HOBB

2 - HOBB with FS (email ↔ Duty PC)

  1. Keep HOBB signed in on your phone (Device login).
  2. Start HOBB on the Duty PC when you want FS-backed work.
  3. Email your private HOBB Bridge address from your approved account.
  4. Subject PING HOBB CURSOR or PING HOBB CLAUDE.
  5. Reply to the READY email (keep its subject). Type your request at the top.
  6. The Duty PC answers headlessly and emails you back. Repeat as often as you need.
Power feature.
Turn the system on at any time and let it work on its own. It emails you when the work is done, when it needs your input, or when it is hung until you break the hang.

First time on this Duty PC

  1. Open the HOBB setup folder supplied with the computer.
  2. Double-click INSTALL-HOBB-STARTUP-ONCE.bat.
  3. If Windows asks, allow it to run. Do not choose "Run as administrator."
  4. Wait for DONE - one-time setup finished.
  5. Confirm the Desktop has HOBB ON and HOBB OFF.

This installation is done once. On Bill's present Duty PC, it is already complete.

Prepare the Duty PC

Start HOBB on this Duty PC Open Control Panel

  1. Press Start. The Control Panel shows each startup step.
  2. Confirm Little Helper is paired when you need FS.
  3. You do not need a logged-in Duty PC browser for email AI - phone Device login is enough.

Close everything safely

  1. Double-click the red HOBB OFF Desktop icon, or press HOBB OFF in the Control Panel.
  2. Wait for OFF_VERIFIED.
  3. Do not close individual black windows or end Python tasks yourself.
STOP HOBB ALL on this Duty PC
If email says Login required
Open HOBB on your phone, sign in, and leave that session open. The buffered message stays on the Duty PC and will answer once Device login is seen - no need to retype it.
Each six-digit code works once.
It is bound to your approved address and selected AI, then expires automatically.

Message content stays on the Duty PC transport. Firebase is identity only - not the email-content filesystem.
