📋 What SafetyBuddy.info Is — Plain and Simple

SafetyBuddy.info is a personal health organization tool for responsible people to use freely at no cost. Features are provided at no cost up to the limit of free tier availability from third-party services with free tiers. Free use will be automatically suspended when limits are reached. Most features reset daily, allowing ongoing free use subject to availability.

Your usage of all features is electronically metered on your private control panel, which requires two-step login. The control panel will indicate approaching limits for your use.

Staff do not review your content. Data streaming is monitored on a flow and quantity basis automatically by software, privately behind your login. AI usage is likewise automatically and privately monitored on a streaming flow and bit-count basis.

Anonymous page visits are counted so we can tell whether pages are being used. We log only the URL of the page, when the visit happened, and whether it lasted longer than one minute. We do not log your IP address, browser, location, identity, or any content.

Anonymous visits may also record how long a page was open (seconds), a random session identifier that links pages only within the same browser tab (not across devices or people), and whether the visitor was signed in — still without storing your name, email, IP address, or location.

All AI output is provided in plain language and will never constitute medical advice or diagnosis. Some AI features provide definitions for technical terms for reference clarity. You are required to agree to professional verification of any and all AI-generated definitions, in acknowledgment of known AI limitations.

You control your sharing of any data you input or create using AI, within the limits described in this policy.

AI outputs on this platform are for informational purposes only and are not substitutes for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI may produce inaccurate results. Not FDA-approved. Always consult your care team before acting on any AI-generated content.

Access to your data is restricted by our procedure which is enacted as follows:

We must make every reasonable effort to gain your permission prior to necessary access to your PHIPS Profile. Once permission is granted by you, our access process continues with: logged and limited access to your PHIPS Profile for support, security, or if there are legal reasons.
If step 1, prior notice, is not feasible due to urgency or conditions beyond our control, the access will be executed as if your permission was already granted.

Healthcare files containing information that identifies you are protected by law. They must not be exposed in any way that would let an unauthorized person see a medical file as belonging to you.

SafetyBuddy.info takes that duty seriously. We design for applicable requirements — including state-by-state rules and privacy laws that extend to healthcare-related websites.

SafetyBuddy.info uses a unique, patent-pending redaction process that strips your personal data out of healthcare files before those files are used with AI or any shared tools on this site. That system is called PHIPS™ — Personal Healthcare Information, Pre-Stripped.

SafetyBuddy.info provides electronic gateways and guardrails so you control what is stripped. Like every redaction tool, PHIPS relies on you to supply the personal data that must be removed. No redaction system can work unless you fill out a form with that personal data.

Here is the benefit of SafetyBuddy.info's approach: unlike most tools, we tightly guard both (1) your medical files in process and (2) your identity file — the PHIPS Profile — on your device by default, not pushed onto the network. Your PHIPS Profile does offer one convenience choice:

Only save it in your browser's local memory (called cache) — this is the installation default, and is recommended: Your PHIPS Profile stays on this device only. It never leaves for cloud storage. Redaction still works. If you use another phone or computer, you update that device yourself (or Export/Import your mask).

Convenience — Auto sync (after you choose to opt-in): When you are signed in, we save your PHIPS Profile to your secure SafetyBuddy cloud account so your devices can stay in sync. SafetyBuddy.info is a user-controlled platform, similar to how YouTube hosts videos. We provide the secure space and the tools. You decide what goes in, who sees it, and when it leaves.

SafetyBuddy.info is not a HIPAA Covered Entity or Business Associate. This is an important distinction — and an honest one. HIPAA governs hospitals, clinics, and insurers. It does not govern platforms where you choose to store and organize your own records.

Most health apps send your medical documents — including your name, date of birth, and medical record number — to cloud AI servers. Your Protected Health Information (PHI) is exposed in transit and stored at rest by third parties you don't control.

Our Patent Pending PHIPS™ system removes your personal identity from your medical content before any document leaves your device. What reaches the AI is a clinical record about nobody. You Pre-Strip the “P” from PHI — and you stay in total control.

Most health apps send your documents — including your name, date of birth, and medical record number — to cloud AI for analysis. That combination is Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA, and handling it creates serious legal and privacy obligations for any company that receives it.

SafetyBuddy takes a different approach. Before any document leaves your device, we remove the patient from it. Your name becomes a numbered token. Your address becomes a numbered token. Every identifying detail is replaced using a private lookup table — your personal mask — that never leaves your device.

Month-to-month only — always — SafetyBuddy.info does not offer or accept annual agreements. Every subscription is strictly month-to-month. If a platform change does not work for you, you are never locked in. Cancel anytime, no penalty, no questions.
